PLA (Physical Link Aggregation) allows multiple physical links to be combined into a single logical link to provide increased bandwidth and redundancy. It treats the logical link as a single link with aggregated bandwidth. PLA distributes traffic across the physical links by fragmenting services into small packets and transmitting them sequentially over the available links. If one link fails, the other links can continue carrying traffic.
