What is Transistor Operation as an Electronic Switch about?
A transistor can be used as an electronic switch by designing the associated circuit so that the transistor operates in either the cut-off or saturation region. In cut-off, the transistor does not conduct current between the collector and emitter terminals. In saturation, the transistor fully conducts current between the collector and emitter terminals. The transistor is switched between these states by controlling the voltage between the base and emitter terminals.
