About this document

Assessment of The Prevalence of Subclinical Mastitis Through Two On-Farm Tests in Dual-Purpose Livestock System of Colombian Orinoquia by RITA TAMASAUKAS is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The study assesses the prevalence of Subclinical Mastitis (SCM) in dual-purpose livestock systems in Arauca, Colombia, using the California Mastitis Test (CMT) and Electric Conductivity (EC) test on 481 cows. Results showed similar cow-level prevalence between tests (CMT = 31.4%; EC = 29.7%), but lower quarter-level prevalence with EC (11.4% vs 14.3%). Despite low agreement between the tests, both can effectively determine the health status of the mammary gland in these livestock systems.
