This study examined the effects of fluvoxamine, an inhibitor of CYP2C19, on the pharmacokinetics of lansoprazole in relation to CYP2C19 genotypes. 18 volunteers who were either extensive metabolizers, heterozygous extensive metabolizers, or poor metabolizers of CYP2C19 received lansoprazole with and without fluvoxamine pretreatment.
