Uranus imprisoned their monstrous children like the Hundred-Handed Giants in Tartarus. 2) Gaea was outraged and convinced their son Cronus to ambush Uranus. Cronus emasculated Uranus with a sickle, overthrowing him. 3) Cronus then became king but also imprisoned his monstrous siblings. Rhea secretly gave birth to Zeus in a cave to avoid Cronus swallowing him, instead tricking Cronus into eating a rock.
