This study evaluates short-term and long-term outcomes of pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) with vascular resection (PD-VR) compared to standard PD (S-PD) in 203 patients. While in-hospital mortality was low for both groups, the 5-year overall survival rates were significantly lower for PD-VR in pancreatic cancer cases (9% vs 20% for S-PD).
