## Carboplatin/paclitaxel Peripheral neuropathy: case report A man in his late 40's developed peripheral neuropathy during treatment with carboplatin and paclitaxel for thymic epithelial carcinoma. The man, who presented with hepatalgia and a cervical mass, was diagnosed with thymic epithelial carcinoma. He initially received combination chemotherapy with cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin and cisplatin every 3 weeks for six cycles (April 2016 to September 2016). After the six cycles, he was detected with a partial morpho-metabolic response and with complete regression of the pulmonary and hepatic hypermetabolic foci, but, persistent uptake in mediastinal and cervical lymph nodes. After 9 months of surveillance (September 2016 to June 2017), he experienced disease recurrence with the appearance of a new mediastinal lymphadenopathy and a single liver metastasis. He subsequently started receiving platinum-based chemotherapy regimen comprising paclitaxel 225 mg/m 2 and carboplatin AUC 6 mg/mL every 3 weeks for six cycles (August 2017 to November 2017) [routes not stated].
