This study analyzed 100 patients diagnosed with dengue fever to assess the significance of liver function tests in prognosticating dengue fever severity. Patients were classified according to WHO criteria into groups A, B and C. Liver enzymes, INR and albumin levels increased with severity and certain parameters in group B patients such as SGOT, SGPT >400, INR>1.5, albumin <3 were associated with higher risk of developing severe dengue.
