This is the first comprehensive annotated bibliography of English-language works by and about Peter Matthiessen, who is considered by many to be the foremost contemporary American nature writer. Also included is a chronology and an introductory essay on Matthiessen and his work. <p>Author Biography: William H. Roberson is professor and head of Reference Services at Southampton College, Long Island University. A teacher of American literature, his articles have appeared in Critique, Great Lakes Review, RQ, and Bulletin of Bibliography. He resides in Mastic, New York.</p>
