José J. Hernández Ayala is an Assistant Professor of Physical Geography and Environmental Sciences at Sonoma State University, where he also serves as Research Director of the Climate Research Center. He received his PhD in Physical Geography/Climate Science from the University of Florida in 2016. His research focuses on weather, climate, and their impacts in the Caribbean, especially Puerto Rico.
