At about 10:00 am on February 10, 2022 in Sitio Sarrat, Barangay Ablan, Burgos, Ilocos Norte, a shooting incident occurred wherein 25-year old student Robert John Mamuad y Castro was killed. The suspects were identified as Joshua Marcos y Corpuz and Peter Beltran y Corpuz, both 26 years old construction workers. It is believed the motive was due to road rage after the victim accidentally bumped the suspects
