Turbidity"' and Hubhen test l i were camed out to check the presence of hydroxy, epoxy and cyclopropenoid acids in the oil samples. The mixed acids free from non-saponifiable matter a) without other treatment, b) after hydrogenation and c) after oxidation I" were each examined by reversed phase partition column chromatography (RPC) I!'. TLC examination of the mixed acid samples did not reveal the presence of any oxygenated acids. ## R e s u l t s a n d D i s c u s s i o n The RPC results are given in wt.% in Table 2. Palmitic, stearic, arachidic, and behenic acids are present in all the seed oils. Seven oil samples show the presence of myristic acid; lauric acid is present only in Sida humilkseed oil. The oil from J. offxinule Var. grandtjhumis rich in oleic acid (80.4 (Yo). Nine oil samples contain predominately unsaturated acids (72.5 010 to 88.5 Yo).
