What is Syphilis-Induced EBV Reactivation Mechanism about?

This document describes a case study of a patient with both syphilis and EBV hepatitis. It provides evidence that T. pallidum infection can cause EBV reactivation through TLR2 and B-cell receptor signaling. Laboratory tests and a biopsy were performed, and an in vitro assay demonstrated that T. pallidum can reactivate latent EBV in PBMCs through TLR2/BCR signaling in a dose-dependent manner.
