This document describes a Python plugin developed for Quantum GIS (QGIS) that allows users to open and georeference NEON hyperspectral data files. The plugin loads NEON hyperspectral data stored in HDF5 format and sets the proper coordinate reference system and RGB bands. While it currently opens the files and displays them in QGIS, future work is still needed to resolve errors and accurately translate the data locations within the desired map projection.
