What is Ahom Dynasty: History and Kings List about?

The Ahom dynasty ruled the Ahom Kingdom in Assam, India for nearly 598 years from 1228 to 1826, established by a Shan prince from Yunnan, China named Sukaphaa. The Ahom kings were known as Asam Raja to outsiders but called Chaopha or Swargadeo by their own subjects. The dynasty ended when the Burmese invaded Assam and the territory was annexed by the British East India Company.
