What is Le Sens du Mystère et le Clair-Obscur Intellectuel: Nature et Surnaturel about?

English translation: [*The Sense of Mystery: Clarity and Obscurity in the Intellectual Life*](https://isidore.co/calibre/#panel=book_details&book_id=6905) (2018) A very profound quote from Fr. G.-L. (p. 128): > il [saint Thomas] ne craint ni la logique, ni le mystère, et la première le mène au second1. The footnote is interesting, too: > 1\. Jamais saint Thomas n'aurait admis comme Suarez que le principe de contradiction ne s'applique pas dans la Trinité; il s'y applique selon un mode éminent qui nous reste caché, et nul ne peut montrer que ce mystère implique contradiction. [Suarez held there could be an exception to the law of non-contradiction](https://philosophy.stackexchange.com/q/69435/2014)? (Also, I was thinking today that the word ἀνάλογος would best be translated "higher logic".) As [Feingold](https://isidore.co/calibre/#panel=book_details&book_id=2968) mentions, *Le Sens du Mystère* ddresses the question of the relations of nature and grace, natural desire to see God (which is important for understanding the relation between marriage and virginity; cf. [Bourassa](https://isidore.co/calibre/#panel=book_details&book_id=7194)) *esprit de géométrie* et *l’esprit de finesse*
