This study compared the mechanical and rheological properties of recycled polypropylene (R-PP) to virgin polypropylene (V-PP). The study hypothesized that R-PP would have a higher melt flow rate, tensile modulus, and yield strength than V-PP, but lower elongation at break and charpy impact strength. Results showed that the melt flow rate of R-PP samples ranged higher than V-PP samples, indicating R-PP has less resistance to flow.
