What is CRITIC Method for MCDM Weighting about?

The CRITIC method is a multi-criteria decision making tool to determine objective weights of criteria. It involves 4 main steps: 1) Developing a decision matrix of performance values of alternatives on criteria. 2) Normalizing the decision matrix for benefit and cost criteria. 3) Calculating a symmetric linear correlation matrix to quantify conflict among criteria. 4) Determining the objective weight of each criterion based on its standard deviation and correlation with other criteria.
