What is Gnostic Religion: A Historical Overview about?

The document summarizes the book "The Gnostic Religion" by Hans Jonas, which analyzes the Gnostic movement that emerged during the Hellenistic period. The author contextualizes the religious syncretism of the time and defines the main Gnostic dogmas, such as the dualism between God and the material world.
