About this document
Xanthan Gum as Foam Stabilizer in Concrete by Hamza El Mabrouk is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study examined using xanthan gum as a foam stabilizer to improve the performance of an anionic surfactant foaming agent for foamed concrete. Tests were conducted on the foaming liquid and resulting foamed concrete to analyze the effects on surface tension, foaming properties, strength, water absorption and microstructure. Results showed that xanthan gum increased the stability of the foam by increasing viscosity and improving the strength of the liquid film. This led to improved properties and quality
