About this document
Cell Structure and Function Overview by Ashlyn Ooi is a document available to read on EtoBox.
All organisms are made up of one or more cells, which are the fundamental units of structure and function in living things. Most cells contain a nucleus that controls cell activity, cytoplasm where chemical reactions occur, and a cell membrane that regulates what passes in and out. Plant cells also contain chloroplasts for photosynthesis and a cell wall for structure. Cells combine to form tissues, tissues group into organs, and organs come together to form complete organisms.
