This document provides an abstract for a study on the supergene orebody of the Cerro Colorado porphyry copper deposit in northern Chile. The study characterized the complex weathering profile through detailed fieldwork and core logging, and dated supergene minerals using laser 40Ar/39Ar dating. The dating revealed the supergene system evolved over at least 20 million years, from the late Eocene to middle Miocene periods.
