About this document
Ef Fect of Manual Approaches With Osteopathic Modality On Brain Correlates of Interoception by Gabriela Gindri is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study investigates the effects of osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) on brain activity related to interoception in patients with chronic low back pain. The results indicate that OMT leads to a significant reduction in brain activation in areas associated with interoceptive awareness, particularly the insula and anterior cingulate cortex, over time. These findings suggest that manual therapies may influence neural processes underlying body awareness and pain perception.
