Harald Schering (1880-1959) was a German physicist known for his contributions to high voltage electricity and the invention of the Schering Bridge, an AC bridge circuit for measuring capacitance. He studied at the University of Göttingen and later became a professor at the Technical University of Hannover, where he worked until his retirement in 1949. Schering received several accolades, including a Golden Doctorate and the Great Cross of Merit from the German government.
