About this document

Understanding OFDM: Benefits and Challenges by Joakim Ngatunga is a document available to read on EtoBox.

OFDM is a broadband multicarrier modulation technique that offers superior performance over older single-carrier modulation. It has been known conceptually since the 1960s but was difficult to implement until recent technology. OFDM divides the available bandwidth into multiple orthogonal subcarriers, each modulated with a conventional modulation scheme. It is spectrally efficient and resistant to multipath interference, making it well-suited for modern high-speed wireless networks.
