This study investigates the role of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 (EAAT2) in alleviating central sensitization in a rat model of chronic migraine (CM). The administration of LDN-212320, an EAAT2 expression enhancer, resulted in increased EAAT2 levels, reduced glutamate concentration, and alleviated hyperalgesia in CM rats. The findings suggest that up-regulation of EAAT2 may serve as a potential therapeutic target for chronic migraine treatment.
