Lymphocyte transformation in whole-blood culture was qualitatively similar to that in cultures of separated lymphocytes from the same person. Five to 10 mol of nonradioactive deoxyuridine per culture was needed to suppress to about 10% of control the incorporation of subsequently added [3H]thymidine or [125l]deoxyuridine into DNA.
