This case report describes a 79-year-old male patient who presented with shortness of breath, productive cough, fever, and nausea. The patient has a history of hypertension, pleural fluid aspiration, and tuberculosis. A physical examination found rales, tachycardia, and anemia. A chest X-ray showed inflammation and pleural effusion. Differential diagnoses included pneumonia, pleural effusion, and a relapse of pulmonary tuberculosis.
