This research article investigates the use of various plasticizers in the development of ion selective electrodes (ISE) using thiazole-4-carboxamide as an ionophore. The study finds that benzyl acetate (BA) provides the best response in terms of sensitivity compared to other plasticizers like dioctyl phthalate (DOP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and nitrobenzene (NB). The results highlight the importance of selecting compatible plasticizers to enhance the performance of ISEs.
