This study examined the effects of formalin exposure on the earthworm Eisenia andrei. Earthworms were exposed to varying concentrations of formalin for different time periods. The study found that formalin exposure affected the activities of acetylcholinesterase and catalase enzymes in the earthworms, and the concentration of oximes, in a dose- and time-dependent manner.
