What is Victoria Kalima: Zambian Gender Minister about?

Victoria Kalima was a Zambian politician who served as Minister of Gender from 2016 until her death in 2018. She was first elected to the National Assembly in 2011 representing the Kasenengwa constituency as a member of the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy party. Kalima had a background in business and established her own agricultural company. As Minister of Gender, she advocated to ban child marriages and promote gender equality. She died at the age of 45 while still holding her position as Minister.
