What is Jewels in our crown : the state parks of West Virginia about?

Author Maureen Crockett has had a love affair with West Virginia's state parks since the mid-70s. The result is Jewels in our Crown, a fun and comprehensive guide to all thirty-seven of West Virginia's state parks. Crockett gives colorful descriptions of the parks' landscapes, wildlife, and facilities, all complemented by Steve Shaluta's great photographs. Crockett includes candid interviews with park superintendents and guests, and humorous anecdotes about hiking and camping. West Virginia State parks are amazing places, as attested to by the 8 million annual visitors. If you are not already familiar with the state parks, hopefully this book will inspire you to become so.
