The R. Premadasa Cricket Stadium is the largest stadium in Sri Lanka, located in Colombo. It underwent major renovations from 2009-2011 to increase its capacity to 40,000 and upgrade facilities. The stadium has hosted many important cricket matches, including the finals of the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 and 2002 ICC Champions Trophy. It is considered the home of Sri Lankan cricket and holds the record for the highest Test score of 952 runs.
