What is Athena about?

Athena had different names in different cities that were related to the names of those cities. In Mycenae she was called Mykene and the city was the plural Mycenae. In Thebes she was called Thebe and the city was the plural Thebae. Similarly, in Athens she was called Athena and the city was the plural Athenae.
