Can I read Collaborative Study of Chlordane by Spectrophotometric Method on EtoBox?

Collaborative Study of Chlordane by Spectrophotometric Method by Malina, Marshall A is a Chemistry article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Collaborative Study of Chlordane by Spectrophotometric Method about?

Abstract Chlordane reacts with a methanolic solution of diethanolamine and potassium hydroxide to form a wine-red product. The intensity of the color is proportional to chlordane concentration and is used as a specific quantitative measure of the assay of chlordane formulations. Eight laboratories made a collaborative study of this method on six formulations. These formulations included all the general types used: granular, dust, emulsifiable concentrates, and oil solutions. Results show that the method is reliable; the coefficient of variation is less than 5%. The method was adopted as official, first action.
