What is Niti Aayog about?

The Planning Commission of India, established in 1950, was replaced by NITI Aayog in 2015 due to its inability to adapt to new economic realities and foster sound fiscal relations. NITI Aayog aims to promote cooperative federalism, inclusive development, and innovative governance while acting as a think tank for the government. It focuses on empowering marginalized communities, enhancing local governance, and implementing various initiatives to improve socio-economic conditions across the country.
