This paper presents the results of two fire tests on axially and rotationally restrained steel columns, focusing on their behavior under fire conditions. The tests revealed that axial restraint reduces the buckling temperature of the columns, and the failure temperature is influenced by load and restraint stiffness ratios. A validated Finite Element Method model was developed to simulate the tests and will be used for further studies and design methods in subsequent papers.
