Agronomy Journal - 2026 - Pagani - Impacts of Variable Rate Potassium Fertilization On Corn and Soybean Yield and Soil Test by gigioneumatica is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study evaluated the effects of variable-rate (VR) versus uniform-rate (UR) potassium fertilization on corn and soybean yields across eight Iowa fields over 29 site-years. Results indicated that while the application methods did not consistently affect yield response, on average, VR increased yield by 3.2% more than UR and applied 17% less potassium. Additionally, VR significantly improved soil-test potassium levels in low-testing soils compared to UR, highlighting its potential advantages in nutrient m
