What is Solstice Magic: Twelve Nights of Christmas about?
Did someone just say "Bah, humbug?" Err... not in those words, exactly, but close enough. It sounded more like: "Solstice? Be damned to the Solstice!" There. Much better. Or not, as the case may be. This is the way of the story: Aleksi grew up in training to be one of the greatest holy men and magic-workers in all of Rus. Failure at his mastery trials sent him packing, shamed and broken, to the tumbledown village of Nayanka. Hes lived there for years, sulking his way through a miserable existence and denying himself any pleasure. Until Berin. For Berin of the green eyes and the big, broad hands, Aleksi begins to want to live again. The trouble is, he doesnt know how. To melt the ice around his heart, the kindly gods must teach Aleksi a hard lesson, but the reward is a lavish gift of Solstice Magic...
