About this document
DAC Curve Plotting for Weld Testing by Jeevanandam Shanmugasundaram is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Side drilled hole blocks are used to plot DAC curves for weld testing by comparing the reflectivity of flaws to that of holes drilled at various depths. A block is selected that matches the test part thickness within 10% and contains holes specified in the procedure. Signals from the holes are marked on the screen to plot the DAC curve without changing the gain. A 50% curve is also drawn with a 6dB reduction. A minimum of three signals are required to plot the DAC curve which establishes acceptability crite
