About this document

Comparative Study of Laser Lipolysis Techniques by RO de La Quintana is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study compared the effects of a pulsed 1064-nm Nd:YAG laser and a continuous 980-nm diode laser on subcutaneous fat tissue from a cadaver. Histological analysis found that both lasers caused similar damage to fat cells and coagulation of blood vessels at equivalent energy settings, including reversible tumefaction and irreversible lysis of cells. The diode laser could offer an alternative to the Nd:YAG laser due to its higher power and efficiency.
