This paper proposes a method to apply an existing steganographic technique called BPCS-Steganography to embed secret data in palette-based images. The method embeds into one of the color component images generated from decomposing the palette-based image. It then performs color quantization on the other color component images to reduce the number of colors in the palette after embedding while minimizing visual degradation.
