What is The Twelve Months Fairy Tale about?

This fairy tale from the Czech Republic tells the story of Marushka and her cruel stepsister Holena. Marushka is forced to do all the housework while Holena is lazy. Holena sends Marushka into the winter forest to find impossible items like violets, strawberries, and apples. Each time, Marushka finds the Twelve Months who use their powers to make it the correct season, allowing Marushka to pick the requested items. However, Holena and her mother never share any with kind Marushka.
