This cross-sectional study assessed the impact of dysphagia on the quality of life (QoL) of 102 head and neck cancer (HNC) patients in Ethiopia. The findings revealed that factors such as being female, low income, advanced tumor stage, and undergoing single modality therapy were associated with poorer QoL related to swallowing difficulties. The study emphasizes the need for validated assessments of swallowing-related QoL to be included in treatment protocols for HNC patients.
