The study tested the antibacterial effects of aqueous extracts from 9 plants (coriander, black tea, bitter fennel, cubeb, dry black lime, ginger, nutmeg, turmeric, and senna) against Streptococcus mutans isolated from dental caries patients. Black dry lime extract showed the strongest inhibitory effect, followed by black tea and cubeb extracts.
