What is CH 5 about?

The Snake and The Mirror is a story by Vaikom Muhammad Basheer about a homoeopathic doctor who recounts a frightening encounter with a snake in his rented room. After becoming distracted by his own reflection in a mirror, he is startled when a snake wraps around his arm, leading him to reflect on his pride and vanity. Ultimately, the snake leaves to admire itself in the mirror, allowing the doctor to escape, but he returns to find his belongings stolen.
