What is Daily Steps and Cardiovascular Disease Risk about?

This meta-analysis of eight prospective studies found that taking more daily steps is associated with a progressively lower risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) among older adults (≥60 years). Specifically, older adults taking approximately 6000 to 9000 steps per day had a 40% to 50% lower risk of CVD compared to those taking around 2000 steps. The findings suggest that promoting daily step goals could be an effective strategy for reducing CVD risk in older populations.
