What is Fixed Hydraulic Buffer Stops for Railways about?

Fixed hydraulic buffer stops are installed at the end of rail tracks to stop trains from overrunning. They contain an oleo gas-hydraulic buffer that can absorb impact energies while providing a minimal installation distance. The buffer stop frame is designed to be installed directly onto the rail track or concrete. It has anti-climber shoe assemblies to prevent uplift during impact. The buffers are able to self-reset after absorbing impact forces up to 700kN and can accommodate recoverable strokes of 600mm.
