Production of fruit crops in the SOCCSKSARGEN region of the Philippines grew by 3.21% in 2018. Banana production saw the largest increase at 56.23% growth. Pineapple and papaya production also increased significantly at 37.6% and 3.05% respectively. Banana remained the top fruit crop by volume in the region, accounting for over 1.2 million metric tons or 56.23% of total fruit production. Cotabato province was the leading banana producer, while South Cotabato was the top producer of pineapple.
