What is New York about?

New York has committed to obtaining 70% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030 under the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act. As part of this Clean Energy Standard, NYSERDA awarded $1 billion to 21 large-scale renewable energy projects through its 2019 Renewable Energy Standard solicitation. These projects are expected to create over 2,000 jobs and $2.5 billion in direct investment while generating enough clean energy to power over 350,000 homes annually and reducing carbon emissions
